Being ill is stressful

I’m scared.

I’m anxious.

I’m exhausted.

And I’m stressed.  Negotiating the complicated world of healthcare is stressful.  And I say that as a healthcare professional.  I worked in the NHS.  I know how it is.

Each day I am getting worse.  I am eating less and less and I can feel my body slowly shutting down.

I don’t get hungry, I don’t get thirsty.  I don’t feel anything.  I’m not even cold anymore.

I just want someone to come and help me.  But instead I have to make endless phonecalls, trying to find out who needs to refer me to who, where I need to register, who has what information.  It’s all too much.  I just want to go to sleep.
